Join us as we continue to level up our serger skills with this super versatile pattern. The Wanda wrap dress is a true wrap style dress that has a flattering fitted bodice and a flowy multipanel bottom skirt. The dress has a true timeless silhouette that’s easy to wear anytime of year. You can create a sleeveless summery version, or maybe make it with short sleeves. This class is sure to level up your serger skills as you piece together the 6 gore (panel) skirt. In this class we will even learn about using a coverstitch machine for hemming our gorgeous knit jersey fabrics. This class will surely bring any sewist some new found confidence.

Materials needed:

Wanda Wrap Dress pattern

Lightweight jersey fabric with stretch
-
Coordinating thread
-
Ballpoint/stretch needle
This class is suitable for students who can thread their sergers successfully.
It is a 3 session class, each night is 2.5hrs.
You will learn how to:

Measure and accurately cut the pattern and fabric
-
Grade between sizes if needed
-
Adjust your sergers tension and differential to sew your fabric perfectly
-
Serge quickly and effectively to minimize mistakes
-
Assemble a gored skirt
You will need:
-
Sewing tracing paper
-
2.5-3.5m of 60” wide light weight knit fabric with at least 5% stretch and good recovery,
Look for light weight jersey, viscose blends, cottons and anything non clingy.

Your serger and thread. Remember only the left needle thread needs to match your fabric.
We will provide:

The use of all the tools necessary for a successful project.
